In August 2025, Bullyid App was selected as one of the on the United Nations Population Funds (UNFPA) TFGBV Safety Showcase global projects. Under the theme Reimagine Gender in Technology, the initiative highlighted technological innovations that put forward gender equality, inclusion, and empowerment. These projects are not only designed with women and girls in mind, but they also prioritize the safety, security, and privacy of its users.
Joining the showcase, our Executive Director, Agita Pasaribu, shared the successes and challenges we faced while developing Bullyid App. Five years after its launch, Bullyid App has helped more than 220,000 cases of technology-facilitated gender-based violence (TFGBV) in Indonesia and abroad. From a reporting platform to educational outreach, our efforts in preventing and combating TFGBV have also benefited more than 2 million people. While there have been challenges like cross-border jurisdiction, platform accountability, and sustainability — Bullyid App remains committed to keep seeking justice and finding support accessible to everyone, especially women and girls.
Bullyid App is open to collaborations and partnerships from like-minded initiatives aimed for empowering women and girls. For more information, visit our page: https://bullyid.org/invite-us/.
